The Courtauld Wellbeing Team
About the team
The Wellbeing Service is for student issues relating to health, finance or welfare. We provide advice, guidance, emotional support, signposting and advocacy for wellbeing concerns. We offer this support during your student journey, from application to graduation. Here are some examples of challenges that you might face:
-
a physical or mental health condition
-
a specific learning disability
-
a diagnosis of a neurodiverse condition
-
acute stress
-
bereavement
-
financial hardship
-
relationship difficulties
-
family difficulties
-
harassment
-
bullying
-
being a victim of crime.
The Wellbeing Service includes our specialist study skills tutor, who provides academic support.
The service is confidential unless there are safety concerns. If we do have safety concerns, we will share information with those best placed to help you.
If you’re not sure what support you need or what is available, email the Wellbeing team. We will then offer an appointment to explore your options.
Counselling
We may refer you to one of our counsellors.
In counselling, you talk through your issues with a caring and supportive professional. You can explore your thoughts and feelings and where they come from. This work can be beneficial and it can help you make better choices for yourself.
The Courtauld counselling service is accessible to all students at The Courtauld
You can self-refer using the online counselling registration form on e-vision. You will have an assessment session, and then up to 6 further sessions per academic year.
Please contact wellbeing@courtauld.ac.uk to find out more about counselling.
