Family Programme

Big Draw Family Friday

Free with a gallery ticket

Celebrate The Big Draw Festival – The Big Draw at The Courtauld on Family Friday this half-term. Meet members of our Learning team and accept a drawing challenge, have a go at a Drawn Together Still Life or just pick up pencil and paper in the Entrance Hall and explore independently. All ages welcome.

Drawn Together Still Life
Bring together your favourite objects and most delicious foodstuffs from Courtauld artworks to create a unique still life. Will you combine a Georgian teapot with a treat by Thiebaud, or a Renaissance platter with Cezanne’s colourful fruits? You can collaborate with others as you discover and draw different parts of the collection and build your own banquet. There will be special handling items and smells to remind us how objects were once used.

Booking is not necessary. Drop-in activity suitable for all ages. All materials provided. Children must be accompanied at all times.
Free activity with gallery ticket. Under 18s go free at The Courtauld and other concessions apply.

The Big Draw Festival is the world’s biggest celebration of drawing and it takes place across the globe every year from 1-31 October.

Visit our Families page for information on activities and other Family Fridays coming up.
