*The Courtauld Gallery is now closed for a major transformation Courtauld Connects. During this period many of our paintings are on show in the UK and abroad: The National Gallery will display Courtauld paintings in a separate room The Courtauld at the National Gallery (again from early 2020). Special paintings will also be loaned to local galleries across the UK and be on free display such as our travelling Precious and Rare: Islamic Metalwork from The Courtauld and Radical Drawing: Works from Coventry and The Courtauld.
From 10 September to 15 December 2019 The Courtauld Collection: Masterpieces of Impressionism exhibition was hosted at The Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tokyo; from 3 January to 15 March 2020 in the Prefectural Museum of Art, Nagoya; then from 28 March to 21 June 2020 ending in Kobe. Friends will continue to get access to our world-class collection through special trips and visits and will be the first to see the new Courtauld Gallery in all its splendour.
