Art is all around us, and we are told that it is for ‘us’, but who decides what statues should commemorate, or which artworks are on display in art galleries.
This workshop, led by art historians Tilly Scantlebury and Tessa Carr, will explore these questions and more. We will take a critical eye to the public artworks in central London, and the artworks on display in the Courtauld Gallery.
