The Courtauld Institute of Art and The Royal Academy of Music invites you to a performance of music and words which will draw you closer The Courtauld Gallery’s collection. Theatre performers once depicted by Degas and Lautrec are reimagined in contemporary life. New pieces reflect the miniature studies of Seurat and the brushstrokes of Van Gogh.
This collaboration brings together postgraduate students from both institutions, combining their skills in art history, music performance and composition. It features music and literature contemporary to the period of The Courtauld’s collection, as well as brand new creative responses.
Please note that seating is not guaranteed for attendees, with only a limited number of gallery stools available. If you have any accessibility requirements, kindly inform a member of our team upon registration, and we will do our best to provide a stool for your use.
Organised by Dr Charlotte de Mille, author and Associate Lecturer at The Courtauld, and Cevanne Horrocks-Hopayian, multimedia composer and Lecturer in Artist Development at The Royal Academy of Music.
