Conway Storytellers: Ruin, repair, and renewal in architecture

Part of the Being Human Festival

Join the Courtauld’s Conway Storytellers to explore the ways that places undergo change, from ruins to repairs and radical renewal. You’ll hear creative and research-based stories from volunteers and staff at the Courtauld who have been busy digitising the 1.5 million photographs in the collection. Most of the photographs have never been digitised before, so you’ll be one of the first to see these newly-digitised treasures before the website is launched.

There will be plenty of time for questions, and you’ll gain an insight into the most ambitious photographic digitisation project in the UK. The Conway Library, deep in the basements of Somerset House, contains photographs, drawings, and plans that record the ever-changing nature of our towns and cities.

A recording of the event with closed captions will be shared after the live session and sent to ticket holders. For further accessibility information please contact the organiser.
