Watercolour and Progresso pencil on paper
My artwork represents my feelings. Feelings I cannot describe. It might be a feeling of excitement,
reminiscence, or nostalgia, but it’s some kind of longing for what once was.
This feeling comes when I think of things such as autumn or past friends. It’s not a feeling of sadness that overwhelms me, rather a melancholy that fills me.
It never lasts because I know autumn will return and new friends will come along. The soft, warm colours represent the feeling I associate with autumn and the round swirls around my face represent my hair and therefore my identity.
