For those student who have been offered a room in Atlas for 2023/24, you should as of 24 August have received a direct communication from Kings inviting you to complete an online induction and book a arrival slot. King’s Residences provide a safe, professional, service-driven and inclusive residential community where independent living stimulates non-academic learning to enhance student experience and success at university and beyond. The provision of accommodation for all first year undergraduates in King’s College London’s Atlas Residences for the academic year 23/24 is a result of the 10-year strategic relationship.
There are up to 90 rooms reserved for Courtauld students at Atlas. 80 rooms for all undergraduate students (BA1) and 10 rooms are for international postgraduate offer holders studying at least 12-month courses, such as MA Curating and MA Conservation. This accommodation is not available to other Courtauld students.
Four different room types are available as shown in summary table below. Atlas is located at 52 South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London, SW8 1DN. The quickest and easiest way to reach our Vernon Square from Atlas is via the Victoria Line from Vauxhall tube station (seven minute walk from Atlas) to King’s Cross St. Pancras (a five minute walk to the campus). Applications for 2023/24 will open from early/mid-May 2023. Our firmly accepted Courtauld students will be contacted directly by the KCL accommodation team. Please monitor this KCL Accommodation website for updates. Note: The deadline for withdrawing from Atlas and receiving a full refund of the £450 booking fee is 20 June 2023.

Contract length at Atlas for first year undergraduates is 40 weeks and postgraduates is 51 weeks, both starting mid-September 2023, ending early June or August 2024. Early arrival prior to mid-September may be possible- please see the King’s Residences moving in webpage for further details about completing your induction process, booking an arrival slot and moving in.
Courtauld students living at Atlas will only be assigned rooms in flats with fellow Courtauld students only and thus, you will not be sharing flats with KCL students. Windows in the Atlas building partial open and ventilation units are provided in bedrooms to help maintain air circulation and remove excess moisture.
