Dr Lisa de Zoete (née Skogh) is a scholar with over 20 years of experience in research and curatorial work, leading various projects at museums, universities and other cultural institutions. With a concentration on early modern European history of the arts and sciences, she has a strong focus on the history of collecting with a specialisation is the history of cabinets of curiosities, Kunst– and Wunderkammern, the precursor of the modern museum. She has worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Nationalmuseum (Stockholm) and pursued research at the State Hermitage Museum, the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte amongst many other institutions and she has lectured and published extensively in the UK and around the world.
