Laura Hinde graduated with a BA in Art History and Italian from the University of Leeds in 2004, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2010. She has been an accredited member of the Institute of Conservation (ICON) since 2016 and currently serves as a council member for the British Association of Paintings Conservator-Restorers (BAPCR).
Since 2010, Laura has worked as a paintings conservator across both public institutions and private practice. Within the Department of Conservation and Technology at the Courtauld, she specialises in the practical conservation of easel paintings. She also lectures on adhesion and cohesion as part of the Principles and Theory module of the MA Conservation of Easel Paintings course. In addition, she leads practical workshops covering adhesives and consolidants, tear mending, and preventive conservation measures.
