Laura Hinde

Studio Supervisor in the Conservation of Easel Paintings

I graduated with a BA in Art History and Italian from the University of Leeds in 2004 and the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2010 with a Postgraduate Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings. I have been accredited with the Institute of Conservation (ICON) since 2016 and am a council member for the British Association of Paintings Conservator-Restorers (BAPCR).
Since 2010 have worked as a paintings conservator for both public institutions and in private practice. As part of the Department of Conservation and Technology at the Courtauld I specialise in practical conservation of easel paintings and lecture in adhesion and cohesion as part of the Principles and Theory part of the MA Conservation of Easel Paintings course. I run practical workshops in adhesives and consolidants, tear mending and preventive conservation measures.
