Courtauld alumna, Min Jung Kim, has been appointed Director of the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) in Connecticut. NBMAA is the oldest American art museum in the USA and Kim will be its sixth director in the museum’s 112 year history. Kim completed an MA in History of Art specialising in contemporary Chinese Art at The Courtauld.
Kim said of her appointment “is a great privilege and wonderful opportunity to define/redefine what indeed American art is. I would not be in this extraordinary position had it not been for my experience of studying at The Courtauld”.
