Courtauld 100

White architect's model of Somerset House.

Following the successful completion of our transformation project, Courtauld Connects, which saw The Courtauld Gallery reopen in 2021 to critical acclaim, our accessible public facilities grow through our shop, Café and venue hire offering, our outreach expand through the opening of the Leon Kossoff Learning Centre, and our Conservation students return to a fully refurbished Linbury Conservation Centre, the journey to fully realise our vision as the world’s leading centre for studying and appreciating the visual arts, continues.

As we approach our Centenary in 2032, we are about to embark on a series of projects to see The Courtauld into the next century. Central to this is transforming our Campus at Somerset House.

This ambitious capital redevelopment will deliver a beautifully restored building with welcoming, accessible spaces for the Gallery and for teaching. It will allow us to increase our student numbers, enrich our collection and exhibition programme, enhance our global live-streaming capabilities, and reunite our world-class collection with our academic and student community.
