Gallery FAQs

I have a question about coming to the Gallery – who should I contact?

Please email galleryinfo@courtauld.ac.uk and we will aim to get back to you within five working days. We prioritise urgent ticketing enquiries, so if this is the case, please mark your email as such. If you are near Somerset House, the Gallery is open 10.00 – 18.00 and staff at the ticket desk may be able to help you. Please do not ring The Courtauld reception or other numbers – they do not have access to our ticketing system and won’t be able to help you.

Can I buy tickets over the phone?

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. You can buy tickets in-person at the Gallery and we keep a small number of tickets aside each day for the permanent collection for walk-up visitors. Tickets can also be bought in advance of your visit online.

I can’t find my ticket confirmation – what should I do?

Your email will have been sent from noreply@courtauld.ac.uk, so please do check your inbox and spam filters. If you still can’t see your confirmation email, please log in to your online account and check the bookings section – your booking should show if you order has been successful. Please either bring this as evidence, or speak to the Ticket Desk staff on arrival, as they will be able to help find your booking. If not, please email galleryinfo@courtauld.ac.uk

Can I change the date of my ticket or get a refund if I don’t attend?

As set out in our Terms and Conditions tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable once purchased and we will be under no obligation to issue refunds where you have not attended The Courtauld at the time and on the date specified on your ticket or decide not to attend following your ticket purchase.

I have COVID-19/ have been asked to self-isolate – can I change the date of my ticket or get a refund?

If you are unable to attend because you or any other members of your party have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19 on or shortly before the stated date on your ticket (or if your attendance has been affected by COVID-19-related travel restrictions or your decision or requirement to self-isolate), please contact us in the first instance at galleryinfo@courtauld.ac.uk

If I miss my time slot due to travel delays will I be allowed entry?

Entry is at the discretion of the Visitor Experience team depending on how busy the Gallery is, but in such circumstances we will try our best to be flexible.
