We start assessing all submitted applications after the published equal consideration application deadline. All late applications are released and assessed on a rolling basis.
Programmes may have different application deadlines. Please ensure you note the deadline for the programme(s) you wish to apply for. We may not be able to accept late applications unless otherwise stated.
There is one application portal for all graduate / postgraduate programmes (excluding the PhD and MA Contemporary Art and the Moving Image).
MA Conservation of Easel Paintings

Interviews: Around 18 applicants are selected for interview for the six available places and a short waiting list. The selection process has several components: Interviews are held online and will take place in February 2026. Interviewees will be asked to complete a practical test to assess manual dexterity and colour matching. Photographs of finished tests must be submitted before the interviews, and physical tests returned by post by the end of the interview period. A short online slide test will be set to assess observational skills. Interviewees are asked to submit a portfolio of photographs of a small sample of original artwork by them. Students must have normal colour vision and a colour vision test is carried out online.
