Teachers’ Event: Art and Identity in the Courtauld Collection

A photograph of the painting A Bar at the Folies-Bergère. A woman stands forlornly at a bar filled with champagne and beer bottles, her reflection, and that of the dance-hall, is caught in the mirror behind her.

Join us for a fascinating tour looking at Art and Identity in The Courtauld Gallery’s permanent collection with curator of paintings, Dr Karen Serres. Following the tour you will be escorted to The Courtauld Institute of Art to meet the Learning team and find out about our education programme.

Attending teachers will learn about this year’s Summer University. Now in its sixth year, this free non-residential course is aimed at widening participation students interested in Art History, and thinking of applying to university.

Please RSVP to education@courtauld.ac.uk to reserve a place for you and your colleagues.
