Eton College holds a remarkable collection of fine and decorative arts, including paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, furniture, stained glass and textiles. The college’s collection of watercolours by some of the best-known artists in the medium, including Gainsborough, Thomas Girtin, J. M. W. Turner and Samuel Palmer has many parallels with that of the Courtauld. The visit will also include a tour of the historic foundation as well as taking in some of the collection of prints, tapestries designed by Edward Burne-Jones, stained glass by John Piper and works by contemporary artists.
