Discover how artist Peter Lanyon’s obsession with gliding led him to create a remarkable series of radical, near-abstract paintings exploring landscape and perspective. Following an introduction from a Courtauld Gallery curator, and visit to the Courtauld prints and drawings room, you will work with an art historian exploring the history of landscape and create a series of works in response to your own experience of the world from above.
Insights Into Art History is a series of one-day workshops especially designed for 16-19 year olds to explore and investigate The Courtauld Gallery collection. Each day has an exciting focus and a new subject to discover!
Suitable for year 10 and upwards
