Discover how art history informs contemporary practice through a closer look at key works in The Courtauld Gallery’s world famous collection.
Visit the Bloomsbury Art & Design exhibition with curator Dr Rosamund Garrett to find out who the Bloomsbury Group were, what they created, and how artistic developments across Europe, Africa and China influenced their experimentation with bold colours and abstracted forms.
You will then work with specialist art historian Dr Katie Faulkner to discover more about the subject of Art History and uncover the impact the Bloomsbury Group had on following generations of artists, before creating your own contemporary responses with artist Helen Higgins.
