This session of Addressing Images will be based on a clip from the Philippine-Singaporean film They Call Her… Cleopatra Wong to discuss how costume, body, pose and movement worked together to portray strong female characters such as Wong in the late 1970s, and messages about the femininity-masculinity binary that these choices may have sent to viewers.
