Entry requirements for students applying from Canada

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Award of one of the following:

  • Alberta High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • British Columbia Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • Manitoba High School Graduation Diploma with five credits at the 300 level in at least four grade 12 subject areas, provided that at least 83% is achieved in each of those subjects
  • New Brunswick High School Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • Newfoundland Grade 12 High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • North West Territories General High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • Nova Scotia High School Completion Certificate with 83% in at least five acceptable level 5 (Honours University Preparatory) subjects or level 4 (University Preparatory) subjects
  • Nunavut General High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with 83% in at least six grade 12 U (University) or M (University/College) courses
  • Prince Edward Island High School Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects
  • Quebec Diplome d?Etudes Collegiales (DEC) / Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) with 83% overall
  • Saskatchewan Five Grade 12/Division IV Standing subjects with 83%
  • Yukon Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects

Postgraduate Entry Requirements

  • The award of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.3/4.0 overall.
  • Equivalent to a good 2:1 in a UK first degree

English Language Requirements

  • International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic / for UKVI) with an overall bandwidth of 7.0 or above, with no less than 6.5 in Reading and Writing (must be taken within 2 years of the start of the programme)
  • Cambridge English C1 Advanced: 185 overall with a minimum of 176 in Reading and Writing
  • Cambridge English C2 Proficiency: 185 overall with a minimum of 176 in Reading and Writing
