Your Courtauld Week Photo Competition
Welcome Week competition for Courtauld Institute students – September 2026
- This competition is open from Sunday 20 September 2026 at 8:00 BST and closes on Thursday 24 September at 15:00 BST.
- The competition is free to enter.
- The competition is only open to students of the Courtauld Institute during the academic year 2026/27.
- To enter, entrants must tag the Courtauld’s Instagram page in a photo taken during the period of Welcome Week (20 September – 24 September 2026). Each tag is valid for a single entry and there is no maximum limit. Entries must come from a public Instagram account or they will not be visible and cannot be counted.
- One winner will be selected by Courtauld staff on the theme of ‘My First Week at the Courtauld Institute: Show us Welcome Week through your eyes.’ The selection will take place after the competition closes on Thursday. Entries received after this time will not be counted.
- The prize will consist of an ‘instax Mini 12 Instant Camera’ and a 20 shot roll of film (worth £86.98). The prize can be picked up from the Courtauld Institute reception directly.
- The winner will be announced at the Students’ Union Gallery reception on Friday 25 September and will be asked to confirm collection of the prize by 17:00 BST on Monday 5 October 2026. If no confirmation is received within this time, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and offer it to a second prize contestant.
- The decision of the Courtauld Institute regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. We reserve the right to exclude any entries which are inappropriate, fraudulent, or based on misconduct.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives.

- The Courtauld Institute must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Courtauld Institute will send the surname and county/country of major prize winners to anyone who emails marketing@courtauld.ac.uk within one month after the competition’s closing date, and provide this to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- The winner is responsible for contacting the Courtauld Institute to organise and collect their prize tickets. No responsibility is accepted for prizes not redeemed in accordance with the dates above.
- The Courtauld Institute will not use any personal data submitted in the course of this competition for marketing purposes. Personal data will be provided in accordance with our Privacy Policy which can be found at: https://courtauld.ac.uk/about/policies/privacy.
- Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
- The competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
