Jessica Morgan, who studied for an MA in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute in 1992, has been confirmed as the new director of Tate.
Having worked as a curator at Tate for more than a decade, she will now return to the organisation as its Director in January, overseeing Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool, and St Ives.
She leaves her role as Director of Dia Art Foundation, which she has held since 2015.
Morgan said, “I look forward to this pivotal next stage at Tate and, most importantly, continuing and advancing the incredible work of Tate’s committed and talented team in the years to come.”
