Janet Jin is a doctoral researcher at SOAS University of London in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology. Her research studies court cultures and spaces in China and across Eurasia in the long 13th century. Her dissertation explores visual and material cultures of banqueting in the Yuan period, with a focus on artistic innovation, technology, and exchange networks across broader Mongol Eurasia. Her previous work has focused on tomb and temple mural programs of the Jurchen Jin (1115-1234) period.
