Amin Moradi

Amin Moradi is the head of a DFG-funded project at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, focusing on the survey and documentation of fortifications in the Armenian Highlands from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern Period. Previously, he held a Humboldt Fellowship at the same university, where he conducted research on rock-cut architecture from the Mongol period in Iran. His broader research interests center on the architecture of the Islamic period in Iran, particularly after the Mongol invasion, with a focus on military structures, sacred spaces, and material culture as reflections of socio-political transformations in the region.
