My research concentrates on the analysis of architectural discontinuities in adopted forms through a semiotic, or more broadly linguistic, lens. My particular area of interest is in the rise and demise of Art Nouveau architecture and the factors that impacted on these transitions. My main case study is that of Victor Horta’s Musée des Beaux Arts, Tournai.
