The Courtauld Research Forum invites you to join us ‘After Hours’ at The Courtauld Gallery for an evening of Monet and London inspired activities.

Rediscover The Courtauld’s collection through ‘Trail of thought’ a commission in collaboration with Amanda Boachie (founder of Forty-Four Words); hear The Courtauld’s researchers and experts perspectives on our latest exhibition; immerse yourself in collaborative drawing and sounds, and make your own painted Monet themed candles with a drink in our Art Cafe.

This event will celebrate the research generated by The Courtauld Institute of Art and grant access to The Griffin Catalyst Exhibition: Monet in London: Views on the Thames.

Delving deeper into the exhibition, the evening’s activities will provoke questions around themes of air pollution, arts ability to evoke positive change and ask what it means to be a Londoner in 2024.

Programme

Trail of Thought

Forty-Four Words presents Trail of Thought, a self-led experience that centres on selected works within The Courtauld’s collection. Created by Amanda Boachie, Trail of Thought invites you to use art as a tool for self-discovery.

Through thought-provoking questions around themes like baggage and belonging, this trail encourages you to go beyond observation by drawing connections between art and your life.

Trail of Thought is available to experience in-person and digitally.
