Public Art | Who decides?

Free Young People's Workshop

Free in-person workshop with The Courtauld Young People’s Programme
Suitable for ages 16-18
Booking is essential due to popular demand

Art is all around us, and we are told that it is for ‘us’, but who decides what statues should commemorate, or which artworks are on display in art galleries.

This workshop, led by art historians Tilly Scantlebury and Tessa Carr, will explore these questions and more. We will take a critical eye to the public artworks in central London, and the artworks on display in the Courtauld Gallery. Learn more about the role of curators, and discuss what artworks you would like to see on display.
