“The title ‘Impressions of Place’ reminds me of suburban, rural cottages and duplexes with magnificent gardens and vegetation, which I chose to photograph and paint in an impressionistic style. This house that matched the ambiance of what I was moving towards was located about four miles from Driffield, in a village called Nafferton. The house I picked out had an abundance of greenery and flowers around it, and I love the contrast of the manmade construction of the building against the flora and fauna of nature.”
