These do not take into account our English Language Requirements for those whose first language is not English.

Argentina
Successful completion of two years of a Licenciado/Professional title at an Argentinian university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 8/10.
Study must contain subjects relevant to History of Art.
Australia
Award of one of the following:
- Australian Capital Territory Year 12 Certificate plus ATAR of 96.
- New South Wales Higher School Certificate plus ATAR of 96.
- Northern Territory Certificate of Education plus ATAR of 96.
- Queensland Senior Certificate plus OP of band 5, or ATAR of 96.
- South Australia Certificate of Education plus ATAR of 96.
- Tasmanian Certificate of Education plus ATAR of 96.
- Victoria Certificate of Education plus ATAR of 96.
- Western Australia Certificate of Education plus ATAR of 96.
Austria
Award of the Reifeprüfung or Matura from Allgegmeinbildende Höhere Schulen with an overall average of 1.8 in examination subjects.
Bangladesh
Successful completion of two years of a BA degree at a Bangladeshi university recognised by The Courtauld with an average of 80% or CGPA of 3.6/4.0.
Belgium
Award of the Certificat d’Enseignement Secondaire Superieur (CESS) or Diploma van Secundair Onderwijs with an overall grade of 82.5.
Brazil
Successful completion of two years of the Bacharel/Licenciado/Professional title at a Brazilian university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 7/10.
Bulgaria
Award of the Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie / Diploma za Sredno Spetsialno Obrazovanie / Svidetelstvo za Profesionalna Kvalifkasia with an overall mark of 5.15. Additionally, for the Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie, two State Maturity exams which must include required subjects (A=5.5; B=5.0). Where no subjects are required, one State Maturity exam to be passed at 5.5 and one at 5.0.
Canada
Award of one of the following:
- Alberta High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- British Columbia Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- Manitoba High School Graduation Diploma with five credits at the 300 level in at least four grade 12 subject areas, provided that at least 83% is achieved in each of those subjects.
- New Brunswick High School Graduation Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- Newfoundland Grade 12 High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- North West Territories General High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- Nova Scotia High School Completion Certificate with 83% in at least five acceptable level 5 (Honours University Preparatory) subjects or level 4 (University Preparatory) subjects.
- Nunavut General High School Diploma with 83% in at least five acceptable grade 12 subjects.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma with 83% in at least six grade 12 U (University) or M (University/College) courses.

China (People's Republic)
Successful completion of two years of a degree-level programme at a Chinese university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of: B+, 85% or a Cumulative GPA of 3.45/4.00%.
Columbia
Successful completion of two years of the Licenciado/Professional title at a Colombian university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 4.5/5.
Study must contain subjects relevant to History of Art.
Croatia
Award of the Maturatna Svjedodzba with an overall grade of 4, or the Medunarodna matura with 34 points overall and a combined score of 16 in three higher level subjects.
Cyprus (Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Communities)
Award of one of the following:
- Apolytirion of Lykeio with 19.0 and two additional A levels at grades BB, if from the Greek Cypriot community
- one year of a Lisans Diplomasi (Bachelor Degree) at a Turkish university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 3.4/4.0 GPA, if from the Turkish Cypriot community.
Czech Republic
Award of the Maturita with an overall average of 1.80.
Denmark
Award of the Studentereksamen or Højere Forberedelseseksamen with an overall average of 7 with high level subjects at 10,7,7.
Estonia
Award of the Gümnaasiumi lõputunnistus with 5/5 in at least five intensively studied subjects (to include any required subjects), plus the award of the Riigieksamitunnistus with an overall average of 82%.
Finland
Award of the Ylioppilastutkinto/Studentexamen with at least four subjects, with one subject at grade 7 and two subjects at grade 6.
France
Award of the French Baccalauréat with 14 overall.
Germany
Award of the Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife (Abitur) with 1.8 overall and two subject marks of 12 (sehr gut).
Greece
Award of the Apolytirion of Lykeio with 19.0 and two additional A levels at grades BB.
Hong Kong
- HKDSE: Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) with Level 5 in 3 elective subjects.
- HKALE: Hong Kong Advanced Level Examinations (HKALE) AAA
Hungary
Award of the Erettesgi/Matura with a mark of 5 in all subjects, including 2 at advanced/higher level with 70% or above.
India
Award of one of the following:
- Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor Degree at an Indian university recognised by The Courtauld with an average of 75% or the First Class/Division.
- The Year 12/Standard 12 Indian School Certificate, with 90% or above when awarded from CISCE or CBSE.
Ireland
Award of the Irish Leaving Certificate with six subjects of grade H6 or above at Higher Level, to include four subjects at H1, H2, H2, H2.
Israel
Award of the Bagrut with grades of at least 80 in seven subjects, including two five-unit subjects with one at 90.
Italy
Award of the Diploma di Esame di Stato with an overall mark of 90.
Japan
Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor Degree (Gakushi) at a Japanese university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of: 80% or A.
Khazakhstan
Successful completion of two years of a Bakalavr (Bachelor Degree) or Specialist Diploma at a Kazakh university recognised by The Courtauld with an average of 4.5/5.
Latvia
Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor Degree at a Latvian university recognised by UCL, with an average of 9/10
Lithuania
Award of the Brandos Atestatas with a grade 9 overall with one state-examination subject passed at 90% and two further subjects passed at 85%.
Malaysia
Award of one of the following:
- Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM / Malaysia Higher School Certificate) with A-,B+,B+ or 3.67, 3.33 and 3.33 in three STPMs
- Malaysian Matriculation Certificate with a Cumulative GPA of 3.33 with A-,B+,B+ or 3.67, 3.33 and 3.33 in three key subjects
- Senior Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with B3 or 75%
- Diploma awarded by MARA Institute of Technology or Tunku Abdul Rahman College provided that it has been studied for over two years full-time or four years part-time.
- Rima College Diploma in Law stage I, provided that at least 50% is achieved in four subjects and the applicant is at least 19 years old on 1st August in the year in which the Diploma is awarded.
Mexico
Successful completion of two years of a Licenciado/Professional Title at a Mexican university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 8/10.
Moldova
Successful completion of at least one year of a Diploma de Licenta at a Moldovan university recognised by UCL, with an average of 9/10.
Netherlands
Award of the Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs (VWO) with an overall average of 7.3.
New Zealand
Award of the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 Diploma with Excellence, to include three level-3 subjects of at least 20 credits of no lower than Merit (M). One subject to include 15 credits at Excellence (E), and the other two subjects to include 12 credits at E.
Norway
Award of the Vitnemal fra den Videregaende Skole with an average of 4.3 in the common core subjects and grades 5,4 in two relevant final year subjects.
Poland
Award of the Matura with at least 3 subjects passed at Extended Level with one at 85% and two at 72%.
Portugal
Award of the Certificado de fim de Estudos Secundarios with an overall grade of 17, with 19 in one subject and 18 in two subjects.
Romania
Award of the Diploma de Bacalaureat with 8.3.
Russia
Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor Degree or Specialist Diploma at a Russian university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 4.5/5.
Serbia
Award of the Secondary School Leaving Diploma/Matura with an overall grade of 4.
Singapore
Award of one of the following will be considered: SIPCAL: between AAA-ABB in Singapore/Cambridge A-levels at H2 level; Singapore Polytechnic Diploma: with a final GPA of 3.4/4.0
Slovakia
Award of the Vysvedcenie Maturitnej Skuske/Maturita with no mark lower than 2, including one subject at 1.
South Africa
Successful completion of one year of a Bachelor degree at a South African university recognised by The Courtauld, with Second Class Division 1 or 70% (equivalent of 2.1).
South Korea
Award of a Junior College Diploma, or one year of a Bachelor degree at a South Korean university recognised by The Courtauld, with an overall CGPA or 4.0/4.5, 3.8/4.3, Grade A, or 90%.
Spain
Award of the Titulo de Bachillerato with 8.3 overall.
Sweden
Award of the Fullstandigt Slutbetyg fran Gymnasasieskolan /Avgangsbetyg with B in at least 1000 points plus B or C in a further 1000 points to include B in relevant subjects.
Switzerland
Award of one of the following:
- Federal Maturity Certificate (Maturitatzeugnis or Certificat de Maturite or Attestato de Maturita) with an overall average of 4.5
- Federally Recognised Cantonal Maturity Certificate (Eidgenossisch Anerkanntes Kantonales Maturitatzeugnis or Certificat de Maturite Cantonal Reconnu par la Confederation or Attestato di Maturita Cantonale Riconosciuto dalla Confederazione) with an overall average of 4.5
Turkey
Award of the Anadolu Lisesi Diplomasi with final GPA of 5.0/5.0 or 85%, plus 90% in one subject, or successful completion of one year of a Lisans Diplomasi (Bachelor Degree) at a Turkish university recognised by The Courtauld, with an average of 3.4/4.0 CGPA.
Ukraine
United States of America
Successful completion of high school with a 3.5 GPA. We will also consider completion of high school with 3 AP exams with scores of at least 5, 5, 4.
