The Courtauld x Asymmetry Chinese and Sinophone Contemporary Art Research Programme

In 2022 The Courtauld and Asymmetry Art Foundation announced a new pioneering collaboration aimed at furthering and diversifying knowledge of Chinese and Sinophone contemporary art; consisting of two postdoctoral fellowships, a public lecture series, as well as an annual international symposium.

The Asymmetry Distinguished Lecture Series on Contemporary Chinese and Sinophone Art

The Asymmetry Lecture Series is an annual programme of artist talks, conversations and screenings that provide a platform for artists, curators and scholars of East and Southeast Asian heritage to share their research and practice with wider audiences, focusing on issues of transculturality and representation in the global contemporary.


The Asymmetry Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Courtauld

The Asymmetry Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chinese and Sinophone Contemporary Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art is a dedicated postdoctoral fellowship which fosters sustained and collaborative study of Chinese and Sinophone contemporary artistic practice.
