You are warmly invited to a lecture by Professor David Park, Head of the Conservation of Wall Painting Department at The Courtauld.
The Courtauld is one of the leading centres in the world for education and research in wall painting conservation. Over the last 30 years, the Conservation of Wall Painting Department has had a major impact on the evolution of the discipline and the care of wall paintings globally. The Courtauld has been involved in projects all over the world. They range from murals in the chapel at Eton College and early Christian paintings in a Georgian church to Buddhist temple cave paintings in Dunhuang, China and projects in India and Bhutan. Come and listen to some of the exciting projects The Courtauld’s Conservation of Wall Painting Department is involved with worldwide.
