Free Young People's Workshop

Free online workshop with The Courtauld Young People’s Programme
Suitable for ages 16-18

Join art historian Fran Herrick to discover colourful case studies in The Courtauld Gallery and contemporary artworks that continue a bold and daring spirit of experimentation. Learn about the science of how we perceive colour, and how colour can have positive effects on human emotions and wellbeing. Hear about the inspiring Hospital Rooms project from their curator Natalie Tilbury, as a real-life example of art and colour helping people who are struggling with mental health. Finally, explore the history of colour pigments and create your own home-made palette through an easy practical activity.

Please note: we will send a basic materials list once your place on the workshop is confirmed.
