Rob Baker is a highly experienced marketing and communications leader, supporting commercial and not-for-profit organisations operating within the art and culture sectors. Before joining the Courtauld, Rob served as Chief Marketing Officer for the global art market platform Artnet.
Formerly, Rob was Director of Marketing and Creative Strategy at MoMA, leading a multidisciplinary team across marketing, design, digital products, and content. He oversaw the launch of an expanded MoMA in 2019, as well as major digital projects, brand partnerships, and audience development initiatives.
He served as Chief Marketing Officer for Tate, leading the development of the museum’s brand, identity, and marketing strategy. He launched an expanded Tate Modern in 2016 and oversaw marketing campaigns for some of the most successful exhibitions in Tate’s history, including David Hockney at Tate Britain in 2017.
He was previously Head of Marketing for the Barbican Centre and started his career in strategy roles for advertising and communications agencies in London.
