Gerlind joined The Courtauld as Executive Assistant to the Head of the Gallery in 2016.
She studied History of Art at the University of Hamburg, Germany (MA 2004, PhD 2017) where her research focused on the history of photography, specifically Victorian stereoscopic travel photography. Gerlind was previously Assistant Curator, Photographs, at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and her background also spans across Public Relations and local politics administration.
