This year’s MA Curating the Art Museum students have unveiled their final project; Confusion of Tongues: Art and the Limits of Language , this summer at The Courtauld Gallery.
This exhibition, curated by twelve students of The Courtauld Institute of Art, draws on The Courtauld Gallery’s own collection and the Arts Council collection, bringing together a selection of noteworthy works from artists, including Susan Hiller, Oskar Kokoschka and Mohini Chandra. Each of these carefully selected works explores the power of language to construct, complicate and withhold meaning.
This exhibition is a response to UTOPIA 2016: A Year of Imagination and Possibility, a year-long programme of events and exhibitions throughout Somerset House celebrating the 500th anniversary of the publication of Thomas More’s Utopia.
Open from 16 June – 17 July 2016
