Professor Guido Rebecchini appointed as a Research Fellow for The British School at Rome
A huge congratulations to Guido Rebecchini, Professor of Renaissance and Early Modern Art at The Courtauld, on receiving the honour of being appointed a Research Fellow at The British School of Rome (BSR). The Faculty of Archaeology, History and Letters unanimously approved Professor Rebecchini’s appointment for the period 1 January 2025 – 31 August 2027, in light of his collaboration with the BSR for the exhibition provisionally entitled Roma Capta. Il Sacco del 1527, le arti e la città (‘Rome Captured: The Sack of 1527, the Arts, and the City’, due to open in Rome in spring 2027.
The BSR is an interdisciplinary research institute in Rome for the arts, humanities and social sciences. Established in 1901 and granted a UK Royal Charter in 1912, its mission is to promote knowledge of and deep engagement with all aspects of the art, history, and culture of Italy by scholars and fine artists from Britain and the Commonwealth, and to foster international and interdisciplinary exchange.
Professor Guido Rebecchini joined The Courtauld in September 2013. He is Professor of Renaissance and Early Modern Art, and is currently Head of the Research Degrees.
