For nine decades, The Courtauld’s tradition of teaching, research and curating has been maintained due to the generosity and foresight of philanthropic individuals who share our commitment to the visual arts and excellence.

Your support makes a difference

Whether you are a visitor, member, donor, student or Courtauld graduate, thank you for being part of The Courtauld community. Your support helps us continue to care for one of the world’s finest art collections, champion academic excellence in the research, conservation, curating and teaching of art history and ensures The Courtauld remains a place to inspire new thinking about art and culture for generations to come.

Every donation you make supports our mission to make art available for all

The Courtauld Fund Challenge 2022

This June, we are calling on The Courtauld’s loyal community to collectively help raise a total of £100,000 in just one month! All donations made up to 30 June 2022 will go towards supporting three vital areas of need:

Student support and wellbeing

Help support our students affected by the war in Ukraine and the rise in living costs

Right now, we need your help to provide vital funds towards our student support and wellbeing programmes. Our Student and Academic Services staff are currently offering both practical and emotional support to students affected by the devastating war in Ukraine and responding to an increasing number of applications to the Student Hardship Fund due to the cost of living crisis and rising energy prices here in the UK.

Donate today and support the next generation of leading art historians, conservators and curators.

Safeguarding The Courtauld’s collection

Help care for one of the world’s finest art collections and safeguard art history for future generations to come

Our world-renowned collection is a treasure trove of paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and decorative arts spanning the medieval period to the present day. Perhaps most notably are our Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings including iconic works such as Vincent Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear and Édouard Manet’s A Bar at the Folies-Bergère.

Behind-the-scenes, our expert team oversee all aspects of caring for the collection. From implementing sustainable initiatives such as environmental controls and state-of-the-art lighting to world-class conservation techniques to protect works from deterioration.

Donate today to support our conservation work and ensure The Courtauld’s collection is available for future generations to enjoy.

Enriching The Courtauld Libraries

Help deliver an unparalleled student experience through our rich library resources and services

The Courtauld Libraries have been at the heart of The Courtauld since its founding in 1932. Its collections inform exhibitions and teaching and are central to learning, outreach and research. Our Libraries team work with Courtauld students to explore different perspectives of the collections we care for, from physical archives, books, images, journals and objects to our new digital catalogue providing direct links to online resources.

Donate today and help us continue to ensure that our communities are able to access these rich resources.

Give today and your donation will be doubled

The Courtauld Fund Leaders – a very generous group comprising of Courtauld alumni and members – have pledged to match each and every £1 you give up to £30,000 until 30 June 2022. This means if you donate today, your gift will be doubled and your donation will go even further.

Right now, we need your support to continue to provide vital assistance to our students, deliver an exceptional learning experience and care for a remarkable art collection
