The Courtauld awarded Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework

22 Jun 2017

The Courtauld Institute of Art has been rated Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) for delivering high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students.  This rating demonstrates that The Courtauld consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.

TEF was introduced by the Government to build evidence about the performance of the UK’s world-class higher education sector, complementing the existing Research Excellence Framework with an analysis of teaching and learning outcomes. The TEF outcomes will help students thinking about which university or college to apply to in 2018.

In TEF’s Statement of Findings it states that “The Institute achieves excellent outcomes for students. This excellence is spread across all student groups, with particular strengths in high continuation rates and in progression to employment after graduation”.
