For the last three years, Gallery Music at the Courtauld has
collaborated with the Composition department at the Guildhall School of
Music & Drama, using the Courtauld collections, history and location
as a starting point for pieces written by students as part of their
degrees. These pieces, world premieres, are then performed by Guildhall singers and instrumentalists at the Courtauld, where possible in the spaces that inspired them. For the first time, this year’s offering is set in the Conway Library.
