Professor Romano, co-curator of the exhibition Giotto, l’Italia (Milan, Palazzo Reale, September 2015 to January 2016), will reflect on the aims in planning the exhibition, the experience of putting it on, and reflections on what was learned from bringing together these exceptional works. A special focus will be on the Vatican nucleus and the Stefaneschi polyptych.
The reception following Prof Romano’s talk will be an opportunity to celebrate the publication, in English, of Giotto’s O, published by Viella, 2015, originally published as La O di Giotto, Rome, 2008, and now available to a wider English-language readership.
