Why do artists create self-portraits? Uncover the story behind Van Gogh’s world famous Self Portrait with Bandaged Ear through a closer look at his self-portraits and letters, with art historian and Young People’s Programme Manager, Helen Higgins.

Explore Van Gogh’s incredible use of light and sophisticated mark-making with artist Alexandra Blum, who will demonstrate how she uses self-portraiture as part of her practice and collaborate with you on creating your own self-portraits
