There is no better place in the entire world than London to study the history of art, curating, or conservation. The Courtauld is located in the historic Somerset House on the Strand, right in the heart of the capital and on London’s Museum Mile. This central location gives students easy access to a wealth of museums, galleries and libraries, such as the National Gallery, the British Museum and British Library. This allows Courtauld students to take the exploration of their subject as far as they wish, and in so doing to experience the deep satisfaction that comes from making an original contribution to knowledge. Here there are no intellectual ambitions so great that they cannot be fulfilled.
