Access Schemes
SCONUL Access is the largest borrowing scheme for Higher Education researchers in the UK and Ireland, its members can borrow books from 129 Higher Education institutions.
This scheme is for academic staff on open or fixed term contracts and postgraduate research students registered for a PhD, MPhil or similar qualification awarded purely by research.

- A2A: Access to Archives, the English strand of the UK archives network, the A2A database contains catalogues describing archives held throughout England and dating from the 900s to the present day, updated regularly.
- AIM25, a major project to provide electronic access to collection level descriptions of the archives of over fifty Higher Education institutions and learned societies within the greater London area.
- Archive of Art and Design, the Archive of Art and Design (AAD) was established in 1978 to house the Victoria and Albert Museum’s growing holdings of collected archival material.
- Archives Hub, a national gateway providing free access to descriptions of archives held in UK universities and colleges.
