Given the continued uncertainty with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic, the spring term will be taught online only. If face-to-face teaching will be possible by the summer term, lectures will be delivered on campus at Vernon Square in addition to being made available online.
Our teaching methodology
Our online teaching method consists of ten pre-recorded lectures and ten related Question & Answer sessions. For the spring and summer terms, lectures will be pre-recorded in Zoom so that you have a sense of the tutor’s presence, and each lecture will be made available to you from late afternoon on Wednesday and will remain accessible to you until 10 am on Friday of the following week; we understand that many of you have most time to watch over a week-end. The Q&A sessions will happen live, on a Tuesday** evening at 20:00 London Time, via Zoom and you will be able to address the lecturer directly. We aim to keep this session to around 30 minutes (the same time as our live discussions at Vernon Square), but if do not wish to speak, or are unable to participate at this time, you may also put questions and comments to our speakers via the student-to-lecturer forum on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
All Q&A sessions will be recorded and made available to you after each Tuesday, as part of your lecture playlist. You will also have access to course handouts, pdfs of powerpoints, and scanned pre-course readings on the VLE.
**the day on which the Q&A will take place in the Summer Term remains to be confirmed (either Tuesday or Wednesday)
