Our Online Delivery Method
Your course will consist of two, complementary components: five days before the start of your course, you will receive five pre-recorded one-hour lectures, each subdivided into three discrete parts to help you avoid screen-fatigue and absorb the course content at times convenient to you.
Lectures will be pre-recorded using Zoom technology, so that your tutor will be visible throughout. Each pre-recorded lecture will be related to an afternoon live Zoom seminar session, which we will hold at 14:00 BST (British Summer Time) and, depending on student numbers, also at 16:00 BST. Based on the exploration of a number of relevant objects, your tutor will discuss some of the key topics of the pre-recorded lectures, and the questions these have raised, with you. These sessions will also be recorded and made available to you, along with the resources we usually provide on our Virtual Learning Environment (such pdfs of powerpoints, handouts, and pre-course reading).
A forum on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) will further allow you to put questions and points for discussion to your tutor and fellow-students.
