Gallery Closure
The Courtauld Gallery and Courtauld Shop are closed while we undertake a major transformation project called Courtauld Connects.
This ambitious project will enable The Courtauld Gallery to significantly improve our visitor experience by putting accessibility at the heart of everything we do. The following provides some information about the Gallery closure.

What is happening to the collection while The Gallery is closed?
During this time of redevelopment, The Courtauld has established partnerships both nationally and internationally to provide unique opportunities for more audiences to engage with our collection than ever.
Our founder, Samuel Courtauld, built his fortune through a nationwide textile firm called Courtauld’s Ltd. Some of our partnerships are inspired by this history, delivering a programme of activity which will engage with people living in areas near to where Courtauld’s Ltd once had significant industrial presence, and beyond.
All other works which are not loaned to our partner organisations will be kept in secure storage until the Gallery reopens.
