  • If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, you must isolate at home and arrange to get tested – please do not visit The Courtauld.
  • Please do not visit The Courtauld if you are expected to be isolating, or in quarantine (i.e. if you or someone in your household are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have recently returned to the UK from a country outside the travel corridor).
  • As part of NHS Test and Trace, The Courtauld is required to assist with this service by keeping a temporary record of our visitors for 21 days. This includes your name, mobile number and your temperature.
  • If possible, we advise you to check your temperature before leaving your house.
  • You must not visit The Courtauld unannounced. If you are visiting the Image Libraries, please book an appointment online and follow the guidance in your confirmation email. If you are carrying out maintenance work, you must pre-arrange your visit with the Estates and Facilities Team.
  • You must wear face coverings at all times in the buildings, unless you are exempt.
  • You are encouraged to wash and sanitise your hands regularly, facilitated by sanitisation stations throughout the building.
  • You will have to adhere to the one-way system at Vernon Square,and follow signage throughout both Somerset House Library and Vernon Square.
  • When visiting the libraries, please respect the instructions Courtauld staff give, and go straight to and remain within the spaces they direct you to.
  • You must maintain a distance from other people, ideally of at least 2 metres.
  • You may be expected to queue in parts of the building to ensure we maintain a safe capacity in areas.
  • If you become unwell within 48 hours of your visit, please notify us by email.
