Current exhibitions include a lead exhibition in our Denise Coates Exhibition Galleries , which showcases exciting exhibition by eccentric 18th century artist, Henry Fuseli, which explores Fuseli’s fascination with female sexuality and the modern woman and provides an insight into late 18th and early 19th century anxieties about gender, identity, and sexuality during a transformative period in European history. Our Gilbert and Ildiko Butler Drawings Gallery features an exhibition on a forgotten female abstract artist, Helen Saunders, with our Project Space presenting a display centered on a lost piece created by Saunders in the early 1900s, which was rediscovered in 2019 by two Courtauld students as part of their studies.
