Rubens and Baroque Room and Blavatnik Fine Rooms
Our Rubens and Baroque Room, situated within our Blavatnik Fine Rooms, is the Gallery’s premier private dining space.
Sumptuously decorated with stunning ceilings, beautiful fireplaces and ornate door handles, the Fine Rooms consist of a suite of six galleries that span the entire Second Floor of the building. Guests are welcome to explore all six of the Fine Rooms throughout the evening with our world-renowned and carefully curated collection providing the perfect conversation starter.
Showcasing some of the greatest and most-loved works from The Courtauld’s collection from the Renaissance through to the 18th century, the works on this floor are dedicated to the Italian Renaissance, Northern Renaissance as well as 7th and 18th century Europe. Major highlight include Botticelli’s large-scale The Trinity With Saints, The Courtauld’s celebrated collection of works by Peter Paul Rubens and comprehensive collection of decorative arts which includes ornate ceramics and rare Islamic metalwork.
Our Rubens and Baroque Room can accommodate 50 guests for a seated dinner and is available to hire between 19:00 – 22:00.

LVMH Great Room and Third Floor Galleries
The LVMH Great Room, the largest space on the third floor, is the home of masterpieces from The Courtauld’s world-renowned collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.
London’s oldest purpose-built exhibition space, the previously subdivided LVMH Great Room has been reinstated to its original breath-taking proportions and volume and provides an unforgettable new space for guests to enjoy as part of any event.
Guests also welcome to explore our Weston Gallery and Katja and Nicolai Tangen 20th Century Gallery during the event. The Weston Gallery, a welcoming ante-room that greets guest as they climb our iconic staircase, features works by Degas, Manet and Pisarro. The Katja and Nicolai Tangen 20th Century Gallery stages carefully curated displays from The Courtauld’s collection of 20th century works of art.
We can accommodate private dining for 60 guests in the Great Room.

The Courtauld x Somerset House Private View and Private Dining Experience
Home to one of the greatest art collections in the UK, and located just inside the Strand entrance to Somerset House, The Courtauld collection includes masterpieces by Manet, Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Cézanne, amongst other remarkable works from the middles ages to the present day. As well as being our neighbours, Somerset House is London’s working arts centre, home to the UK’s largest creative community and one of London’s best loved public spaces, making them the perfect partner venue for larger events.
For the first time since The Courtauld’s major refurbishment, clients are now invited to hire both The Courtauld and Somerset House in a unique venue hire offer, giving guests unprecedented access to both sites for a private view and private dining experience.
Guests will start their evening in The Courtauld with drinks and a chance to explore the gallery’s remarkable third floor galleries, which includes highlights from our Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collection such as Manet’s A Bar at the Folies–Bergere nd Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear. Specialist art talks, held by Courtauld Experts, can be organised on request, giving clients the opportunity to share The Courtauld’s unrivaled collection and academic expertise with guests.
Guests will then walk across Somerset House’s iconic Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court to the Portico Rooms for a private dining experience. Guests have access to private balconies during the evening, showcasing the fantastic views back across The Courtauld and our sensational fountains from the north facing balcony and the sunset over the River Thames from the south facing balcony.
The Courtauld and Somerset House offer is available for 100 guests.
