“In order to meet (The Courtauld’s) budgetary demands it is even more important for alumni to give back, because this sends a strong signal to others that graduates of The Courtauld value the education they received and remain invested in its future.” Christopher Griffin, BA 2007, MA 2008.
About the Annual Fund
For the past 80 years, The Courtauld has trained the very best art historians, conservators and curators. The success of our academics, students and alumni, and the impact that they have on our understanding and enjoyment of the visual arts both at The Courtauld and around the globe, is testament to the unique education that The Courtauld provides.
Since it began in 2008, over £400,000 has been raised for The Courtauld Annual Fund. Every year an increasing number of people choose to support the fund, which translates into a significant and vital resource to help sustain us. The money raised from the Annual Fund enables us to train, inspire and support our students, invest in our facilities and ensure the continuing care of the world-class collections in our Gallery.
Below is the Annual Fund appeal film created for our 80th anniversary in 2012/13. The sentiments expressed by our students continue to resonate. Please watch our film to see why the Annual Fund is so important.

How your gift helps
Philanthropic support now comprises a significant third of the Courtauld's £12.7m annual income and makes a critical difference. Those who support the Courtauld Annual Fund, whatever amount they give, make an important contribution to resources each year because the majority of the funds raised can be spent where the need is greatest. Critically, Annual Fund participation is viewed as a vote of confidence in the work of The Courtauld and encourages new donors to give at every level.
